What is aheadworks policy on supporting its modules? Specifically if a security vulnerability is found will aheadworks create a patch?
Question by: Conor on Jul 26, 2019, 4:28 PM
Our extensions come with included support period and we are able to provide technical assistance when the support is active.
As for security vulnerabilities and bugs, we are trying our best to fix them free of charge regardless of the support period status.

How can I configure the rule where I can give a free product if a person put in the cart one of a specific group of products AND another one of a specific group of products?
Question by: Julia Gorobets on Apr 28, 2022, 11:46 AM
To make the rule work for your scenario, I would suggest configuring the rule the following way (see the screenshot attached):
Scenario: Buy X Get Y
If ALL of these conditions are TRUE
If total quantity equals or greater than 1 for a subselection of items in cart matching ALL of these conditions:
SKU is one of ...
Also, please make sure that the rule is Enabled and let me know if that rule works for your scenario.
Note, it is always possible to get more information about rules settings from our User Guide.

When a configurable consists of only out-of-stock simples (qty=0 for all simples), the configurable product should not be offered to the customer as a free product, is the way your module works?
Question by: Julia Gorobets on Apr 28, 2022, 11:46 AM
Add Free Product to Cart allows enabling the "Offer Only Those Products Which Are In Stock" option for rules, so it won't offer products with out-of-stock status as promo items (unless there is Magento Backorder enabled for them).

However, the functionality of our extension doesn't affect or override the default Magento stock behavior for configurable products.

For example, if the "Out-of-stock Threshold" for a configurable product is set to "0", Magento will provoke and display out-of-stock status for the entire configurable product when all child items have 0 qty left accordingly.

How can I achieve buy 1 get 1 free and buy 2 get 1 free?
Question by: Julia Gorobets on Apr 28, 2022, 11:46 AM
Out of the box, Add Free Product to Cart supports fixed and percent discount types and has the following scenarios:Buy X Get YSpend X Get YCouponNote, it is impossible to add 2 (and more QTY) identical "free" products in one rule. Also if we are talking about "Buy N get 1 free" (the same target and promo product), this mode is currently not supported, to my regret. However, it can be customized by your developers since the code of our solutions is open, or it is possible to take advantage of our additional Custom Development service.
