Subscription introduction: Grace period

Starting from February 1st, 2022 new subscription selling model now applies to all Magento 2 extensions.

Downloads on website 30 days after the initial purchase and after that only in case Support and Upgrades Subscription is active. Access via composer will remain even after that period, but only to the last paid version or earlier versions. Download of updates and new version releases will not be possible using composer keys for customers with inactive Support and Updates subscription.

For those of our customers who have purchased extensions before February 1st, we offer a Grace Period of 2 months - until April 10th.

It includes:

  • For those customers, who have had active support status within the timeframe of January 1st, 2022 thru February 1st, 2022:

We awarded Grace Period days for upgrades. This means that you will have the ability to download the packages both in the My Account section on website and via composer.

PLEASE NOTE: the additionally awarded days do not qualify for Technical support. The moment the actual paid support period expires, our Technical Support specialists may request that you switch to the subscription in order to apply for Technical Support service.
  • For those customers, who no longer had an active support period within the timeframe of January 1st, 2022 thru February 1st, 2022:

We retained permissions for your composer access. You can still download packages of previously purchased products via composer, but you can no longer download them in the My Account section on website.

For all the above categories of customers, composer access will be limited in case they don't have active Support and Upgrades Subscription after April 10th. It means that the extension versions released before April 10th will be available with composer keys, but the download of updates and newer versions will be restricted.
