Today we are glad to release Blog 1.2 with the following issues fixed:




  • unapproved comments were counted

  • incorrect "Date Updated" field for default blog post

  • filtering by store in “Categories” grid

  • filtering by fields “Poster”, “Created”,” Status” were leading to SQL error in "Comments" grid

  • locale improvements

New version of the Blog extension is enhanced with functionality that will help lead new visitors to your web store: now you can specify meta keywords and meta description for blog main page.

Meta-description tags, while not important to search engine ranking, are extremely important in gaining users click-through from search engine result pages. With this short paragraph, you can advertise content to searchers and let them know exactly what the given page is about. The optimal description length is between 150-160 characters.

Also, the toolbar functionality for blog posts and comments is added. Now you can sort them according to your needs as well as allow your blog readers to decide how many posts and comments to display on a page.
